Cellular cell phone, sometimes known as Smartphone, is a type of short-wave analog or digital telecommunication in which a subscriber has a wifi relationship from a Smartphone to a relatively nearby transmitter. The transmitter's span of protection is known as a cellular cell phone. Generally, Smartphone service is available in cities and along major highways. As the Smartphone user moves from one cellular cell phone or area of protection to another, the cell phone is effectively passed on to the regional cellular cell phone transmitter.

The first Smartphone for commercial use was approved by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in 1983. The cell phone, a Motorola DynaTAC 8000X, weighed 2 pounds, offered just a half-hour of talk time for every recharging and sold for $3,995.
